Continuous heat treatment "Austempering"

Imparting spring properties to thin plates! Improved ductility, impact resistance, toughness, and durability.

"Aus-tempering treatment" is a continuous heat treatment that imparts strong spring performance to high carbon steel (C: 0.6% or more) thin plate products (t: up to 2.0mm). After heating in a non-oxidizing atmosphere furnace to the austenite region (approximately 800°C to 900°C), it is held isothermally in the lower temperature range (approximately 300°C to 450°C) below the S-curve nose, and then cooled, which imparts a bainitic structure to the product. Due to extremely low thermal distortion and dimensional changes, as well as the attainment of good spring performance, it is widely used for thin plate springs and similar applications. [Characteristics] ■ Tough toughness and impact resistance ■ Reduction of thermal distortion and dimensional changes *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Surface hardening heat treatment "Carburizing quenching / Carburizing nitriding quenching"

Improving wear resistance and fatigue resistance by diffusing and infiltrating carbon.

"Carburizing hardening" is a surface hardening heat treatment that involves introducing carbon into the surface of steel in a heated gas carburizing furnace, increasing the carbon concentration near the surface, and then performing quenching and tempering. Additionally, "carburizing nitriding hardening" is a treatment that enhances hardenability by adding a small amount of ammonia during the carburizing process to introduce nitrogen. 【Characteristics】 ■ Carburizing hardening and tempering - Improved surface pressure strength, wear resistance, and fatigue strength - Toughness is maintained ■ Carburizing nitriding hardening and tempering - Allows for lower temperature treatment compared to general carburizing hardening - Enables hardening of low carbon steels due to nitrogen (N) diffusion - Uniformity of surface hardness and hardened layer - Bright treatment is possible *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
